Storing Your Clothes Off-Season
Tips & Projects
It's a good idea to dry-clean all items before storing, to be sure they are clean and free of body oils, perfumes and possible food particles.
Moths are attracted to food and dirt stains, and stains that might not be apparent will oxidise and become potentially permanent while hidden away.
Be sure to take your clothes out of the plastic wrap after dry-cleaning and before storing though… storing clothes in plastic can cause mildew and discolouration.
The best environment for storing garments is one that's cool, dark, and dry - a wardrobe is perfect.
